About Us

Collin County Mental Health Mental Retardation dba LifePath Systems was established in 1986 by the Collin County Commissioner’s Court and is the designated behavioral health and intellectual disabilities authority for the county. We are a unit of local government and operate primarily on federal, state, and local funds to provide mental health, substance abuse, intellectual and developmental disability services to residents of the county. Service costs are based on a financial assessment with most low income, uninsured individuals receiving services at no cost.

Mission: LifePath Systems’ mission is to serve individuals and families impacted by behavioral health, intellectual or developmental challenges, resulting in stronger communities.
