About Us

Legacy Preparatory Charter Academy - Plano's first open-enrollment PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL is laser-focused on one thing: preparing your child for a college-and career-ready future! We are currently enrolling grades K-11, with additional grades added every year until all K-12 grades are represented. Enrollment is open for ALL GRADES, and TUITION IS FREE.

LPCA is proud to be the first open-enrollment charter school in Texas and one of only two in the Nation to offer New Tech Network in it's schools. Our Plano Campus is T-STEM Designated to offer advanced level courses in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

The smart use of technology and unlimited access to online resources support our innovative approach to instruction and culture. All New Tech Network classrooms have a one-to-one computing ratio. With access to web-enabled computers and the latest in collaborative learning technology, every scholar becomes a self-directed learner who no longer needs to rely primarily on teachers or textbooks for knowledge and direction.

Our specialized program combines a K/4 Montessori-style Dual-Language (English /Span) program with Chinese as a third language in 5th grade. Second through fifth graders enjoy an interdisciplinary, project-based learning model that has been proven to greatly enhance the child’s learning potential. Middle school scholars have one-on-one technology around project-based learning in a blended instructional environment. Spanish is also available at every grade.
