THE BUSINESS OF BEING GREEN
Stephen Page’s business card indicates his title is store manager for a local Walmart Supercenter. However, in local environmental circles, he is known as a green guru and an official tree hugger. While his career is with the world’s largest retailer, Stephen’s heart is with Mother Earth.
Join the City of Plano’s Commercial Recycling team from 11:30am-1:00pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, as they host a workshop, The Business of Being Green, at the Plano Chamber of Commerce, 1200 E 15th Street 75074. During this interactive session, Stephen will share with you:
· Incremental steps you and your employees can take for the largest economic and environmental return—scaled to your small or micro business;
· The single most important activity your business can engage in to fast-track your green journey; and
· An essential key in sustaining your company’s green efforts.
A long-time environmental partner with the City of Plano, Stephen’s passion and efforts have not only influenced the leadership teams for his district’s Walmarts and Sam’s Clubs, but has assisted in raising the City’s green index as well.
Don’t miss Stephen’s green news you can use! Register today by contacting Rita Keys at ritak@plano.gov or 972.769.4393 by June 27, 2011. This seminar is FREE but registration is required. The Plano Chamber of Commerce is located at 1200 E 15th Street, 75074. Bring your own lunch or enjoy a slice of pizza and a beverage on us!
