Plano Civic Chorus presents ?Songs of Love, Lamentation, and Life: Music that Celebrates the American Spirit?
The American Spirit—bold, optimistic, noble, undaunted, idealistic, kind, generous, compassionate, unique, inventive, virtuous, enthusiastic! No one word could ever fully embody that spirit that fills every American with pride. The concert features a pastiche of music woven together with poetry and memorable speeches that will attempt to exemplify The American Spirit. Alan Dyer, along with his outstanding choral ensemble, The Texas Voices, and longtime PCC accompanist Jon Schweikhard will be the featured guest artists. PCC will also premiere a new work for double chorus composed by Composer in Residence, Debra Scroggins!
