Born in Dallas, Kirk Thurmond is a singer/songwriter with a distinct sound that spans several genres, including soul, pop, and R&B, with authenticity remaining at its core. Kirk’s captivating, soulful voice paired with his raw lyrics make for relatable songs that truly honor the integrity of a musical golden age.
His debut projects Born In The City and Only Love mark the beginning of his continuous pursuit for music that is real and timeless. Modern Electric Sessions, which is set to release in Spring 2014, furthers this pursuit on a deeper level as he pulls inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
