Event at RIVER RANCH EDUCATIONAL CHARITIES AT STORYBOOK RANCH*

Who makes the best Pumpkin Pie? Is it your grandmother, or your mom, or you? Maybe it’s your favorite restaurant. Well, come one, come all and bring the best you’ve got.
Storybook Ranch, the McKinney destination spot, and Minnie’s Food Pantry, will host the Great Pumpkin Pie Baking Contest on Saturday, October 29. The contest will start at 4:00 pm with the winner being declared at 6:00 pm. The winner will be announced live on KLAK radio. The event is being organized by Tootie Pie Company, the Bourne, TX based company who has been hailed as making THE best pumpkin pie by none other than Rachael Ray.
“This is the perfect addition to our October Halloween events already in progress,” said owner, Wayne Kirk. “All month long we have a Pumpkin Patch and a Haunted Hayride through Ghost Town. It’s all about people having fun.”
The contest will be great fun for the entire families of those who enter, with the winner receiving the trophy of an engraved pie plate declaring them The Best Pumpkin Pie in Collin County and a gift certificate for a Storybook Ranch party.
The pies will be judged based on flavor, texture and appearance. The judges include Cheryl Jackson, Judge Angela Tucker, Wayne Kirk and additional celebrity judges.
