The 2^nd Annual A1 Affordable Garage Door Services FanFest benefiting the Single Parent Foundation

The A1 Affordable Garage Door Services FanFest is a one day festival benefiting the Single Parent Foundation, which helps single parents in the Dallas/Ft Worth area in need of assistance.  The event will feature live music, local dance teams, gymnasts, sports celebrities like #3 Tony Dorsett, #25 Lance Dunbar and #44 Tyler Clutts, food and fun for both parents and children.

With the growing number of single parent families, Dallas businessman Ray Salinas sought out to help these individuals by forming the Single Parent Foundation.  The organization was designed to assist on several levels.  Seven out of ten households with children are maintained solely on the income of one parent. As you can imagine, it gets harder every day to meet the demands of parenting.

The Single Parent Foundation is a unique and exciting non-profit organization designed with a goal to help working families help themselves.  The foundation does not provide a hand-out, but rather emergency services for the people who need it most. Whether it’s funding an emergency car repair or a monthly daycare payment, they believe they are helping families get back on their feet and stabilizing the lives of the children affected by the difficulties of parents struggling to meet their needs.

To further their mission, the Single Parent Foundation acquired three-time Superbowl Champion Darren Woodson as their national spokesperson.  Having grown up in a single parent household, he too can understand the trials and difficulties that face single parents on a daily basis. www.SingleParentFoundation.org
