Community Seminar Series: Stewards of Children

Darkness to Light’s “Stewards of Children" abuse prevention seminar. Presented by the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, this innovative, evidence-based, child sexual abuse prevention training will provide information on the dynamics of child abuse, including survivor stories and practical tips on protecting children and minimizing risk. Attendees will learn:  the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse for communities and organizations; the situations that may create the risk for abuse; practical strategies for protecting children from sexual abuse; behaviors and grooming techniques practiced by perpetrators; and how to intervene and react responsibly if warning signs appear or abuse is discovered.
