CREDIT UNION OF TEXAS HOSTS LUNCHEON SUPPORTING LOCAL NONPROFITS IN CELEBRATION OF ‘GO GOLD’ SEPTEMBER FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
Plano, Texas, (September 15, 2022) – Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) will host a Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Panel, on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the CUTX branch in Plano, located at 7801 Coit Rd, Plano, TX, 75024. The luncheon will raise awareness about the needs of the 1,800 children that are diagnosed with cancer in the State of Texas each year.
It will also recognize organizations dedicated to helping North Texas children and families in the fight against childhood cancer, including the American Cancer Society, Heroes for Children, and Leia’s Kids. Heroes for Children provides financial and social assistance to families with children ages 0-22 battling cancer while Leia’s Kids supports families fighting against childhood cancer through financial donations and a faith-filled inspirational message.
The luncheon is open to the public and will feature networking opportunities and panelists’ stories regarding their efforts and experiences supporting North Texas families with a child battling cancer. The event will focus on raising awareness.
