SUMMARY:Work Safe\, Texas Summit
DESCRIPTION:Keeping Texas workers safe is Texas Mutual Insurance Company's highest priority\, and in June we're putting the spotlight on the Metroplex.\n\nMore than 9\,000 policyholder-owners in the Metroplex-area\, from a broad range of industries with strong representation from construction\, services and retail\, each face their own hazards and in 2015\, reported 13\,000 total injuries ranging from paper cuts to severe industrial accidents. Through our industry-leading return-to-work program\, most of those workers were able to get back on the job quickly\, benefitting the employee and the employer.\n\nThe most common causes of injuries in this region were slips & falls\, being struck by an object and sprains/strains. Our goal is to prevent these injuries and we need your help.\n\nPlease join us for a morning of safety discussion and OSHA information. Over breakfast\, you'll hear from a panel of local employers talking about their own safety programs in the construction\, services and retail industries and how these programs can be applied to any workplace that values the health and well-being of their workers.\n\nAnd our own Vice President of Safety and Information Services\, Woody Hill will deliver OSHA updates and provide information that can help prepare your business for an OSHA inspection especially an unannounced one. It's informative\, it's free and it's a great way to keep your people safe.\n\n\n\nDoors open at 7:45 a.m. Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m.
