DESCRIPTION:Register by Thursday\, August\, 24 at 2:00 p.m.\n\n \n\n\nDuring our first ever ONE Plano "Mastermind" session\, we will brainstorm solutions for the fundraising challenges of the future. Specifically\, we will work in small teams to share ideas and best practices for meeting the challenges on the near and distant horizon including:\n\n\n	Corporate shift to community service\n	New generation of donors\n	Ever-increasing competition\n\n\nFacilitated by Adine Zornow: Senior Vice President\, Development & Strategic Alliances - Barbara Bush Foundation\, this interactive exercise will use teamwork to create solutions. You will walk away from this collaborative experience with a fresh approach to solving your everyday challenges and new perspectives from industry peers.\n\n\n\nWhat is a mastermind session? \n\nThe term mastermind was originally coined in 1920s by Napoleon Hill\, author of Think and Grow Rich. who defined a mastermind group as\, "The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people\, who work toward a definite purpose\, in the spirit of harmony." Put simply\, members of a mastermind group are highly motivated\, share a common goal\, and are looking to encourage and help each other improve. \n\n\n \nAbout the facilitator: Adine Zornow\n\n\n\nAdine Zornow has 16 years of nonprofit management experience\, bringing her organizational leadership\, resource development\, marketing/media and community relations to the teams she serves. Zornow works tirelessly for causes she is passionate about and brings her love of relationships\, service\, and leadership to her proven abilities in leading and supporting teams. Zornow joined The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy in January 2015 to lead BarbaraBush@90: A Cause for Celebration to honor former First Lady Mrs. Barbara Bush?s 90th Birthday and generate revenue to launch a new campaign. The event raise more than $17 million and launched The Barbara Bush Foundation Adult Literacy XPRIZE\, an innovative competition model to solve the global problem of illiteracy. Prior to joining the Barbara Bush Foundation\, she served as Managing Director\, Development at Susan G. Komen \, where she led a comprehensive development department and campaigns both domestic and international in scope with revenues of more than $40 million annually. Zornow had oversight of multiple revenue and operation divisions including: Corporate & Foundation Giving\, Major & Planned Giving\, and Donor Services & Development Operations as well as provided the development strategy and training for a 125+ local Affiliate Network. Zornow led Komen?s Development Department and the Affiliate Network with an emphasis on a culture of philanthropy along with a strategy for new business development\, major giving\, an organizational wide donor stewardship plan\, a peer-to-peer platform and planned giving.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the program: The Organization for Nonprofit Engagement Plano or ONE Plano is a focus on supporting and strengthening our nonprofit community through cooperation\, communication\, and education.
