SUMMARY:Halloween Block Party
DESCRIPTION:Halloween is a fun time for children\, & adults as well\, and is recognized on October 31 each year. The festive day is marked by people wearing costumes & children going door to door requesting tricks or treats.  AFFECT\, Inc. chose Halloween as an opportunity to promote safety & wellness through a community event by hosting fun activities\, meeting neighbors & obtaining educational information for better health & safety. \n\n \n\nOn October 31\, 2011 AFFECT\, Inc. hosted the 1st Fall Festival Halloween Block Party. Over 400 participants were in attendance for this outstanding event. This community endeavor provided a safe environment for AFFECT\, Inc. to supply fun treats (e.g.\, Haunted Hospital\, \, Cake Walk\, putt\, putt\, golf\, & more..)\, food treats (healthy snacks & a few candy treats\, etc.)\, medical treats (e.g.\, Immunizations & CHIP Registration)\, safety treats (e.g.\, Plano Police & Fire Department demonstrations on personal safety & fire rescue) to all those in attendance. This unique event was supported by over 50 volunteers from the community.
