DESCRIPTION:Join us at Emily's Place Historic Home for our\n\nChange Makers' Event\n\n\n\nOur speaker will be Sakia Johnson\, the Children's Service Coordinator for The Family Place. Sakia Johnson will be speaking on Domestic Violence and the short term and long term effects on children.\n\n \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Sakia Johnson\n\nSakia has her Masters degree in Social Work. She has been working with victims of domestic violence in various roles at The Family Place for 9 years. She is currently the Children's Program Coordinator. Her background includes helping at risk families understand the effects of domestic violence on children.\n\n \nWho Are We?\n\nEmily's Place CHANGE Makers is a professional network of people focused on education\, awareness\, and CHANGE to stand in the gap and say NO MORE to domestic violence in our community. Together we can break the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault.\n\n \n\nWhat is the NO MORE Campaign?\n\nEmily's Place CHANGE Makers have partnered with the public/private partnership\, NO MORE. This organization provides resources and material to domestic violence advocacy groups with the goals to raise public awareness and engagement around ending domestic violence. Our Professional Network partnership with NO MORE helps us unify and champion our message along with a movement of over 70\,000 online subscribers\, ensuring we provide our community with the best resources and tools to make an impact.\n\n\n\nHow to Get Involved?\n\nThe CHANGE Makers will host quarterly activities around the community and on our campus. Get INVOLVED\, get EQUIPPED\, take a STAND\, and say NO MORE!\n\n\n	Join an upcoming networking event out in the community\n	Attend an educational seminar at the Emily's Place historic home\n	Represent us by wearing our CHANGE Maker apparel
