DESCRIPTION:Dear Friend of AFFECT\, Inc.\,\n\n\nOur annual Silent Auction will take place on August 21\, 2014 at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland\, Texas. This year's theme is "Building to Strengthen\, Affect to Empower". Our goal is to raise $350\,000 dollars that will be used for continuing services that benefit the community including: Counseling (family\, youth\, & premarital and marriage)\, Youth Services (Summer Academic Program\, Mentoring\, & After-School Programs)\, Community Events (sponsor the Juneteenth Celebration\, Fall Festival\, Single Parent Symposium\, and 1\,000 Turkey Giveaway)\, Health Resources (developed the Avenue F Family Health Center/Clinic and a Fresh Food Stand)\, and Suited for Hire (where we help ex-cons\, unemployed and under-employed gain the skills for employment).
