Purpose of Job
The Security Test Engineer I will be responsible for the Security and vulnerability assessments of APCON’s industry leading suite of Network Visibility Solutions. • Perform security scans of APCON products, analyze and reproduce discovered vulnerabilities
• Help perform scans of APCON digital assets
• Write novel security related test cases using best industry practices
• Execute verification and validation tests, especially in areas associated with secure Authentication, Secure API connections
• Support in logging, tracking, communication, and resolution of defects
• Advocate and deploy new security tools and concepts
• Keep up to date with the latest industry vulnerabilities and hot security trends
• Help with certification testing, for example FIPS, Common Criteria, or UCAPL
• Be an advocate for secure solutions at APCON

Qualifications and Requirements
• We are ideally looking for about 1+ years in a software test engineering role, at least one year focus on security and pentesting
• Hands-on experience with security scanning tools such as Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys, NMAP
• Experience with scripting languages, Python or LUA is preferable
• Some experience writing automation scripts is an advantage
• Familiar with penetration testing techniques
• Some experience with embedded Linux systems
• Possess a willingness and eagerness to adapt to new processes, ideas, and concepts
